Jeanjean Crowned BMX Freestyle Park World Champion in Riyadh

Nov 13, 2025

At just 27 years old, Jeanjean delivered a spectacular performance to claim the freestyle park world title at the UCI World Championships in Riyadh’s Boulevard City district. After a stumble on his first run, he came back strong, impressing the judges with a flawless second run filled with free-flowing tricks over 60 thrilling seconds.

Packing in a triple tail whip, a double flair, and his signature double backflip, Jeanjean earned an astonishing score of 94.4, a mark no other rider could match. American Marcus Christopher took silver with 94.02, while former Olympic champion Logan Martin of Australia secured bronze at 91.68.

"The level is so crazy. It’s my first time as world champion, so I’m beyond happy," Jeanjean said. "I was especially thrilled with my second run." Jeanjean had finished third at his home Olympics in Paris last year, making this victory even sweeter.

In the women’s event, American star Hannah Roberts was unable to extend her streak of six consecutive freestyle park golds. China dominated the podium, with Sun Sibei taking gold with 95.86, Sun Jiaqi earning silver, and Fan Xiaotong taking bronze. Reigning Olympic champion Deng Yawen did not compete, and Roberts, after a crash in her first run, finished in 10th place.

This edition of the UCI World Championships was historic, marking the first time the event was held in Saudi Arabia.
